We use a variety of methods to communicate and share information with you. If you have any queries or concerns regarding your child, it is important to inform the class teacher as soon as possible. Please email admin@killigrew.herts.sch.uk and mark it for the teacher’s attention. The class teacher can usually resolve any issues but if you need further clarification, you may contact the key stage leader via the email address above.
EY leader (YN & YR) Mrs Wicks
KS1 leader (Y1-Y2) Miss Norris
LKS2 leader (Y3-Y4) Mrs Digweed
UKS2 leader (Y5-Y6) Mrs Holmes
If you need further support, Miss Norris (assistant head) Mrs Morley (deputy head) or Miss Mylotte (head teacher) are at one of the gates at the beginning and end of the day.
Parent Teacher Consultation Meetings
Teachers assess the children on an ongoing basis and general questions about how your child is progressing and settling in will be discussed at the consultation meeting which will take place just before the October and February half terms. These are either held remotely or in person.
Annual School Report
Your child’s annual school report is sent home in July.
Weekly Newsletter
These are sent out each Friday and are essential reading. They include the term dates and information about forthcoming events.
Schoolcomms/School Gateway
The admin team use Schoolcomms/School Gateway to send parents messages. You can also use this system to select and make payments for school dinners, give consent for trips and confirm club information.
Parent Forum
We have a ‘Parent Forum’ meeting approximately once every half term. A parent representative from each class meets with the head teacher in order to promote two-way communication between home and school. This is in an opportunity for us to inform parents about school initiatives or to request support and understanding about the work of the school, and for parents to ask questions or praise aspects of school life.
Marvellous Me
We use ‘Marvellous Me’, an app to share news with you about your child’s learning.
