Welcome to Killigrew Primary & Nursery School, a school for children from 3-11 years old. I have been head teacher here since 2003, initially as head teacher of the Infant School and since 2008 as head teacher of the Nursery and Primary School. During this time, I have seen the school through many exciting changes and developments. It is an absolute pleasure to work at Killigrew and I am delighted that you have chosen to find out more about us.
We are a friendly, ambitious school and work hard to build a positive relationship with each child and family. We feel that we have achieved a ‘family’ atmosphere where even the shyest child feels at home. Children are encouraged to take on responsibilities from an early age and this leads to self-confidence and a responsible attitude to others and to the environment.
We are committed to providing the best possible education for our children and we have an established reputation for providing high standards and expectations within a well-ordered and caring environment. Our aim is to encourage every child to achieve their best and to lay the foundations on which their future learning is built.
